Ben Howells joined Motive Partners in 2022 and is a People Director on the Human Capital team based out of the London office. At Motive, Ben is responsible for talent acquisition and development, employee relations, and human capital operations. Ben is an innovative people leader, who believes highly focused and engaged people who are trusted, are empowered to achieve winning outcomes.
Prior to joining Motive, Ben operated in a number of leadership roles in the Oxford, UK technology and biotechnology sectors. Most recently, as Head of People & Places at Osler Diagnostics, who are part of the Oxford Sciences Enterprises portfolio, breaking new ground in the portable lab and biosensor space. During his tenure, Ben played a key role in the growth of the company from ~25 to 130 people and operated in a pan-portfolio role as well as in secondments to Monzo Bank and SVP Global in the US. Prior to Osler Diagnostics, Ben led the hyper-growth efforts of Oxford and US based biotech Immunocore, recently listed on the NASDAQ. Ben is a recognised thought leader in the human capital space, as well as a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Professional Development.
